How does a legacy social-impact network step into the new economy? Established in 1987, Social Venture Network (SVN) is one of the nation’s first organizations dedicated to demonstrating the ‘triple bottom line’ potential of valuing people, planet, and profit.
SVN and the Investors Circle came together in 2018, combining the best of social innovation with impact investing, and the newly-named Social Venture Circle was formed. We were tasked to create the visual identity for this new organization.
We focused on building an identity that would signal the strength and credibility of this organization over many years.
The SVC mark is a new shape for a new organization. It takes architectural cues from Buckminster Fuller’s Geodesic Dome, a structure of incredible strength, balance and beauty. The mark is dimensional and has real-world integrity, showing that SVC is not only about the theory of new business and economy, but the practical application of it.
